As we inch closer to Summer, Old Man Winter does not want to let go. Some weather models are indicating at or below freezing temperatures for Sunday night and Monday morning.
Below is the latest GFS model run displaying Sunday night lows. It indicates temperatures across the Northeast could fall below the freezing mark, including Northeast Pennsylvania.
The National Weather Service current forecast has temperatures above freezing for Sunday night, mimicking the European model.
However, without any cloud cover, temperatures could end up being colder than forecast due to radiational cooling.
This cold is not limited to the Northeast, as temperatures on Sunday will be below average throughout much of the nation.
