FINAL Prediction for Tuesday, February 21, 2023

Good evening everyone! I hope your extended weekend went well. Attached is the FINAL Prediction for Tuesday, February 21, 2023.

Snow decided to sneak its way into the forecast for this evening. Elevated areas are likely to experience up to 1 inch of snowfall overnight tonight into early tomorrow morning, while most locations of Monroe County will barely see any snow. Temperatures are expected to be above freezing for most locations; however, upper-elevated areas will experience at or below freezing temperatures. Considering the forecast, I suspect most districts are likely to go in on time tomorrow. However, I can see some delays for the upper elevated districts (i.e. Pocono Mountain).

I am keeping an eye on the weather forecast for later this week as some ice is possible during the Wednesday/Thursday timeframe. I plan on issuing a prediction for this tomorrow if needed. Also, Premium members should be advised there is an issue on the site which is preventing the graphics from updating; I am looking to have this fixed tomorrow evening and I apologize for the inconvenience. I will say schools in Pike, Wayne, Susquehanna, Lackawanna, and Wyoming counties are likely to experience delays for most schools since they are higher-elevated, while Regular Days are favorable for the remaining counties in NEPA, in my opinion.

Have a great rest of your evening everyone and thank you for the support!
