Despite some ice forecasts, I am remaining in the Regular Day camp for a few reasons. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 10 AM until 5 PM; but, the National Weather Service only expects a few hundredths (0.01-0.03) of an inch of ice; usually, this is not enough to cause school reactions.

Short range model guidance does not have precipitation starting until after 3 PM; in addition, this would allow temperatures to rise above freezing by 12 PM, before any rain arrives. Observations and radar appear to be verifying the warmer, no ice solutions. This is why I still think a Regular Day is most likely going to occur. However, early dismissals are not off the table given the advisory timing.
