First Prediction for November 20, 2018

Good evening everyone! Attached is the First Prediction for Tuesday, November 20, 2018.

I have received reports that plows are laying down salt on roadways. Light snow is possible over the next few days, but the majority of it will be occurring late Monday night into Tuesday morning. While I do not anticipate school reactions for tomorrow morning, I am concerned for possible delays on Tuesday.

The National Weather Service is expecting 1 to 2 inches of snow, which is enough historically to cause delays. However, temperatures will be in the lower 30s in the higher elevated areas; therefore, accumulations on roadways may be limited. The other consideration is model guidance has the snow occurring further north than what the National Weather Service has. If these trends continue, the Regular Day odds may increase.

My plan is to issue the Second Prediction tomorrow morning, followed by the Final Prediction tomorrow evening. I will be watching for trends in the forecast and will adjust the prediction accordingly. Have a great evening everyone and thank you for the support!
