Second Prediction for December 12, 2017

Good morning everyone and Happy Monday.

Attached is the Second Prediction for December 12, 2017. The overall theme for Tuesday morning has stayed the same. There are a few hurdles in regards to this prediction. First, this is going to be a very elevation-dependent event. Valley locations may be lucky enough to get an inch, while Pocono Mountain is forecast to receive around 3 inches, which may be enough to close them.

The other problem is most short-range model guidance does not have any snow on the radar until 7 AM, which is typically past the point when school administrators make a morning decision. This could create a situation where schools go in on time and it starts to “surprise” snow around 7 AM. This is why a Regular Day is still a valid possibility.

Have a great Monday!
