Good morning everyone. Attached below is the Final Prediction for this afternoon’s event. Details have not changed much, but a Winter Weather Advisory will go into effect at 4 PM this afternoon, building confidence for a no-activities scenario.
With the advisory starting at 4 PM, schools may cancel activities out of precaution, even if the event starts out as rain. Snow and ice estimates have not changed: limited accumulations in the valleys while the mountains could receive 2-5″ of snow and 0.10″ of ice/sleet. While some schools could cancel activities, others may keep them on, but I think this probability is less due to the advisory.
It is very possible that impacts from today’s event could linger over into tomorrow morning. I plan on issuing a one-time Final Prediction regarding Wednesday later this afternoon. Thanks for the support towards the service and my studies — have a great day!
