Good evening everyone and Happy Tuesday! We have snow in the forecast for tomorrow morning and I do think it is going to cause impacts to the morning commute. Attached is the FINAL Prediction for Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
Both the National Weather Service and model guidance agree on 1 to 2 inches of snowfall from 1 AM until 8 AM tomorrow morning. From a morning bus run perspective, this is the opposite of ideal. Historically, 3 inches of snowfall is enough to cause closings and virtual days; and in optimal conditions, 2 inches can also cause closings. Looking at snowfall projects, the highest accumulations will likely be in the Mount Pocono area, while the rest of the county could expect around 1 to 1.5 inches. Considering this, I am favoring delays for most tomorrow, but I can see an arguement for a closing or virtual day for Pocono Mountain if the snow occurs right in the middle of the regularly scheduled bus runs. I also would not be surprised if we see rare 3 hour delays, given the short duration of snowfall.
I would anticipate decisions to be made in the morning, and I would also keep an eye out for re-evaluations. Have a great rest of your evening everyone, travel safe if communting tomorrow morning, and thank you for the support!
