Good afternoon everyone! We have the FINAL Prediction for tomorrow and also a First Prediction for Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
Thank you everyone that sent in the snowfall and road reports. We knew the snow-dry line would be near the region, but we didn’t know where exactly it would land. Unfortunately for snow lovers, the heavy snow stopped along the Delaware River, giving the area a whopping 3 to 6 inches. Road reports are clear, except for slushy roads in isolated backroad communities in the Mount Pocono area. Considering this, I am even having a hard time justifying a delay for tomorrow, so I am going to favor a Regular Day as my final call. Admittedly, I wouldn’t be surprised if many are looking forward to a Regular Day, given how crazy the season has been.
But, we are not done yet! Light snow is expected between midnight and 9 AM Wednesday morning. While the National Weather Service is calling for 2 to 3 inches, model guidance is more cautious only projecting 1 to 2 inches. We have seen historically that 3 inches, and even 2 in some cases, timed perfectly right can cause closings or virtual days, so I do think there is a risk here. That said, based on everything I am seeing on the model guidance end, I think 1 to 2 inches is more reasonable, which argues more for delays. Therefore, I am going to favor delays for now, unless the data starts to argue otherwise.
I plan on issuing the Final Prediction for Wednesday tomorrow evening. Have a great rest of your day, keep an eye out for school alerts just in case, and thank you for the support!
