Good afternoon everyone! School districts continued to delay this morning due to cold wind chills and frankly they are going to get worse tomorrow. The FINAL Prediction for Friday, January 30, 2026 is out.

The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Cold Warning, calling for wind chill values as low as -25*F. While not a guarantee, it is typical to see school districts close or go virtual when Extreme Cold Warnings are issued. Therefore, I am thinking the closing/virtual scenario is the most likely outcome for tomorrow, with delays at a minimum. I would anticipate to see school announcements made tonight.
