Good evening everyone! Schools that are scheduled to be open tomorrow may have to extend the winter break. A prediction has been issued with snow in the forecast.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 1 AM Tuesday until 4 PM Tuesday; they are anticipating 1 to 4 inches of snowfall and a glaze of ice. Based on the most recent model guidance, there is an increasing chance the region could receive the higher end of the snowfall forecast. The timing, and with temperatures expected to be below freezing for all elevations, is not favorable for the morning bus runs. Simply put, the odds of schools closing tomorrow are pretty high.
