FINAL Prediction for Wednesday, November 19, 2025

Good evening everyone! Winter is here, and that means school predictions are returning! Snow is in the forecast for tomorrow morning and as a result our season’s first school prediction has been issued.

Model guidance and the National Weather Service are expecting snowfall during the morning bus runs tomorrow morning. While some model guidance suggest 1 inch of snowfall, with isolated 2 inches amounts, the issue is air temperatures for most will be above freezing, especially ground temperatures too. Therefore, around half an inch on non-paved surfaces is a more likely outcome and this is what the National Weather Service in essence has.

As far as school impacts go, I do think most will stay on time tomorrow, at least for the districts that are lower in elevation, due to temperatures. That said, I do think Pocono Mountain has a decent chance at a delay. Of interest, Hazleton did announce a delay for tomorrow, but historically they tend to be cautious and higher elevated.
