FINAL Prediction for Monday, March 24, 2025

Good afternoon everyone! As Spring establishes its foothold in the region, Winter is still making periodic appearances. Attached is the FINAL Prediction for Monday, March 24, 2025.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Monroe and Carbon Counties from 1 AM Monday until 10 AM Monday. The only locations that are expecting to receive accumulations are in the higher elevations, such as Mount Pocono. Everywhere else, generally below 1,500 feet, will likely not receive any snow or ice accumulations. Further, temperatures will be above freezing for most in the county and at best at 32*F in the higher elevations.

Considering these conditions, I think Regular Days are likely for most districts in the county. For Pocono Mountain, I can see justficiation for delays, but I could also see a Regular Day as possibility if frozen precipitation does not pan out as expected. Further, assuming a worst-case scenario, a Closing cannot be rully-ruled out given the advisory goes until 10 AM, but I do no think this is likely.

As the season comes to a close, I really want to express my thanks to everyone in the community. Your support is really appreciated and is the fuel to the fire. Have a great rest of your weekend!
