FINAL Prediction for Tuesday, March 7, 2023

Good evening everyone! I hope your week is off to a wonderful start. Attached is the FINAL Prediction for Tuesday, March 7, 2023.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 7 PM tonight until 7 AM tomorrow. 3 to 5 inches, with locally higher amounts, are expected during this time period. Temperatures will be below freezing throughout the county, so I am anticipating road accumulations. I personally suspect at least delays are on the table for tomorrow, but I am concerned there will not be enough time for schools and roads to improve even on a delayed schedule, hence my favoritism towards Closings and Virtual Days. I will caution this will be a very narrow and precise snowfall event. It is very possible some areas of the county get heavy snowfall while other parts only receive a few inches at best; I would not be surprised if school reactions are more localized and perhaps unconventional.

Keep an eye out for alerts this evening. It is possible (although I don’t know how likely given this event popped up recently) for school districts to delay tonight and re-evaluate in the morning. Have a great rest of your day and thank you for the support!
