A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 3 PM today until 4 AM Saturday. 1 to 3 inches of snow and 0.1 to 0.2 inches of ice is expected. Trends in the forecast have aligned this event more similarly to that of Monday’s event. Temperatures are expected to be above freezing initially (3/4 PM) but will drop to around freezing by 5/6 PM. Considering these factors, I do believe after school activities have a good chance to be canceled, particularly for the upper elevated districts. There is also a non-zero possibility for a one-hour early dismissal, hence the 15% odds for it.
