Good morning everyone and Happy Monday! Attached are the FINAL Predictions for February 27 and 28, 2023.
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect from 5 PM tonight until 1 PM tomorrow afternoon. The National Weather Service did up their forecast to 5 to 8 inches of snowfall; those in the higher elevations can see the upper-end of the snow forecast. For today, a start time of 5 PM is enough to interrupt afterschool activities, but shouldn’t be enough to cause early dismissals; if anything, an hour early. As for Tuesday, the end time of the event was extended to 1 PM. This drastically increases the odds for closings and virtual days. I could see the chance for an isolated closing if the snow tapers off earlier than expected, but I doubt it.
Keep an eye out for school announcements throughout the day today. I decided to make Tuesday’s prediction final because I believe there is a good chance for closing/virtual announcements to be made this evening and I do not expect the forecast to change much between now and tonight. Have a great day everyone and thank you for the support!
