First Prediction for Monday, January 23, 2023

Good evening everyone! I hope your weekend is going well. Attached is the First Prediction for Monday, January 23, 2023.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 3 PM Sunday until 7 AM Monday. The National Weather Service expects 1 to 2 inches of snowfall and up to 0.1 inches of ice. The main challenge behind this forecast is the Poconos will be on the edge between little impacts (above freezing temperatures) and moderate impacts to the morning commute (below freezing temperatures). Right now, I am taking the middle of the road approach and favoring delays for Monday. I will note the latest model guidance has shifted colder and snowier for Monday; I am not running with it yet as I want to see if these projections hold into tomorrow.
I plan on issuing the Second Prediction tomorrow morning. Have a great rest of your evening everyone and thank you for the support!
