FINAL Prediction for December 22, 2022

Good evening everyone! I hope you are having a great holiday season. Attached is the FINAL Prediction for Thursday, December 22, 2022.

As we approach the winter break, many schools are starting to dismiss early for the holidays or be off completely starting as early as tomorrow; understandably this prediction will only apply to districts who will be open.

A warm front will be approaching our area tomorrow afternoon. While rain is expected for all locations, a few elevated regions may experience light snow accumulations at the onset of the precipitation. Temperatures will be rising rapidly above freezing, so I do not expect much accumulations for most areas. However, I would not be surprised if a few elevated areas get an inch or two of snowfall. The timing of snow would be from the early afternoon hours (12/1 PM) lasting until the later afternoon hours (3/4 PM). Given these factors, I suspect most school districts are likely to stick to their planned schedules (Regular Day), but the highest-elevated districts may experiences unplanned early dismissals.

Since the vast majority of school districts are off Friday, I will not be issuing a prediction. In the meantime, please be careful while driving over the next few days and prepare for very cold weather this weekend. Have a fantastic holiday and have a great rest of your day!
