Final Prediction for November 15 and Second Prediction for November 16, 2022

Good morning everyone and Happy Tuesday! Attached is the FINAL Prediction for Tuesday, November 15 and the Second Prediction for November 16, 2022.

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 4 PM today until 7 AM tomorrow morning. 1 to 3 inches of snow/sleet plus 0.20 inches of ice accruals are still anticipated. I still expect snow to arrive sometime around 6 PM, which should still give enough time for after school activities to conclude. However, I did receive a report (unconfirmed) that North Pocono School districted (an elevated district located to the north of Pocono Mountain School District) canceled activities – this may be in reaction to the start time of the advisory of 4 PM, along with higher snow expected for that area. Considering a neighboring district has already canceled their activities, I did increase the odds respectively, but I still favor a regular day for the most part – I can see some elevated districts (i.e. Pocono Mountain) canceling after school activities.

For tomorrow’s prediction, I didn’t move the percentages too much as the overall forecast remains the same. I will be watching observations very closely today to get gauge on how tomorrow may trend: if temperatures remain colder for longer, I will keep favoring the delay since colder-than-expected temperatures is what the prediction is hinging on. Otherwise, if temperatures are in line with forecasts, I could very well favor the regular day scenario. I expect the Final Prediction to be out this evening.

Thanks everyone for the support and have a fantastic day!
