A Winter Storm Watch is in effect from 7 PM Thursday until 6 PM Friday. The National Weather Service is expecting 2 to 5 inches of snow and 0.25 inches of icing. The timing of this is not favorable at all for the morning bus runs on Friday. Given the widespread impacts this is expected to have, I cannot fathom school districts not closing or going virtual. Therefore, given the high confidence, I have decided to go all in on the closing/virtual scenario as the Final Prediction.

In my opinion, I believe school districts will send out alerts tomorrow evening, with perhaps a few isolated districts waiting until the morning, so be on the lookout for alerts from your local district. I will post updates as they come in. Be safe everyone, avoid unnecessary travel late Thursday night through Friday early afternoon, and have a great rest of your day!
