Good evening everyone and Happy Wednesday! Attached is the Final Prediction for Thursday, February 3, and the Second Prediction for Friday, February 4, 2022.

A Winter Storm Watch is in effect from 1 AM Friday to 4 PM Friday. The National Weather Service is expecting up to 0.5 ice accumulations and snow and sleet totals up to 1 inch. Rain will start on Thursday; there may be a few isolated pockets of freezing rain, but this has trended less likely, hence the higher Regular Day odds for Thursday. Rain will then convert to freezing rain in the early morning hours on Friday, then to sleet, and concluding with snow. Given the higher confidence for slick road conditions most of the day Friday, the closing and virtual day odds have increased. I would not be surprised if schools make calls as early as Thursday night.
