Good morning everyone! Attached are the First Predictions for Thursday, January 20, and Friday, January 21, 2022.

Light snow is expected for a few hours during the morning hours on Thursday. A few inches of snow is expected and the timing is not favorable for the morning bus runs. Given the latest information, I do favor the delay scenario assuming we get 1 to 2 inches of snowfall. However, if snowfall estimates increase to 2 to 3+, then I could see some schools going virtual or closing.

Temperatures will then plunge Thursday night and will cause cold wind chills Friday morning. I am waiting to see if the National Weather Service will issue Wind Chill Advisories, which is usually the determiner for delays. Personally, I think they will issue advisories, which is why I favor the delay option; however, if no advisories are issued by Thursday afternoon, then the Regular Day odds will likely takeover.
