First Prediction for December 8, 2021

Good morning everyone! I hope you had a good start to the week. Attached is the First Prediction for Wednesday, December 8, 2021.

Model guidance has backed off the idea of a moderate system forming along the east coast and instead suggests strung-out pieces of energy will keep any snowfall on the low side. Most forecasts and models have about an inch or so for the area, with most of it falling after 7 AM and concluding around 2 PM. There are a few outlier projections which could indicate 2 to 3 inches of snowfall, which would increase the chances of school reactions. For now, taking the conservative approach, it may be better for schools to remain in session the full day rather than earlier dismissing into the snow. If snow total projections do increase, then the closing odds may take the lead as the most likely scenario, unless the timing shifts to later in the day.

I plan on issuing the Second Prediction tonight or tomorrow morning when I can studying these situations a bit more. Have a good day everyone and thank you for the support.
