Good evening everyone! Attached is the FINAL Prediction for January 29, 2021.
A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect for both Monroe and Carbon counties until 11 AM tomorrow. Per the National Weather Service and short-range model guidance, wind chills may get as low as -20*F by tomorrow morning, especially in the elevated locations. When looking at past events, -20*F wind chills, coupled with advisories, correlate well with delays. However, Carbon and Monroe are the only counties in NEPA that have advisories in effect as of this writing. In addition, I do not know how or if the hybrid schedule is going to play a role in the decision-making. While I lean towards a delay for tomorrow, still be alert for anything out of the ordinary.
The snowstorm threat for early next week is continuing to grow and the tentative plan is for me to start issuing predictions tomorrow evening. Thanks everyone for the support, stay warm, and have a great rest of your night!
