First Prediction for Monday, January 4, 2021

Good evening everyone! I hope the holidays went well for you! Attached is the First Prediction for Monday, January 4, 2020.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 9 AM Sunday until 1 AM Monday. 1 to 4 inches of snowfall can be expected during this time period, with most snowfall occurring Sunday afternoon into the evening hours. This will be a very elevation-dependent event; the higher elevations will see the most snowfall out of this. Temperatures will be at or slightly below freezing, which should be enough to permit road accumulations. As far as school impacts go, traditionally, a situation like this is prime for delays on Monday. However, with many schools doing the hybrid/all-virtual schedule, do not be surprised to see atypical reactions.

My plan is to publish the Final Prediction tomorrow evening. Thanks everyone for the support – it is appreciated! Cheers to a great 2021!
