Light snow showers are possible overnight tonight, but accumulations are expected to be limited. I suspect delay risks are on the low-side (20%). Generally, a coating to half an inch is anticipated.
As far as upcoming significant winter events, our next opportunity will be Tuesday morning. It is still too far in advance for details, but the system appears to be a snow to ice to rain event. We should get a better idea as the weekend arrives.
Winter weather activity is expected to pickup in mid-January and beyond. If you are not a Premium site member, I highly recommend checking the site out; you get access to prediction graphics going out four days in advance for 12 counties across Northeastern PA. It does a good job highlighting which areas are prone to delays, closings, etc, when winter weather occurs. Take a look!
