Updated Predictions for March 12 and 13, 2018

Good morning everyone. Attached is the FINAL Prediction for Monday, March 12, and the Second Prediction for Tuesday, March 13, 2018.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for our area, going into effect from 5 PM tonight until 10 AM tomorrow morning. The National Weather Service expects 2 to 4 inches of snow during this time period.

When digging back through similar past events, I realized that I did not take into consideration of late activities and bus runs (after 5 PM). Upon this realization, I have switched my odds to be in favor of No Activities for today. Schools may do a partial cancellation — for example, cancel activities after 5 PM. This is my Final Prediction.

As for tomorrow, with 2 to 4 inches of snow expected until 10 AM, I have a hard time seeing morning buses being able to run in these conditions. With most of the snow occurring overnight, there will be limited hurdles to accumulations. With that said, if the region gets less snow than forecast, delays could become the most likely outcome.

The Final Prediction for Tuesday will be released this evening. Have a good day and pay attention to your local sources if any school announcements are made.
