Good evening everyone. Attached is the First Prediction for February 7, 2018.
A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for our area; the National Weather Service expects 4 to 7 inches of snow and a tenth of an inch of ice between 6 AM Wednesday and midnight Wednesday night. Slippery travel conditions are expected.
Due to the timing and anticipated snow amounts, I doubt schools will be able to squeeze in early dismissals, even if they were conducted at the earliest possible time. Therefore, this is why I am strongly in favor of closings throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. However, if the snow arrives later, it could increase the chances for early dismissals, but I doubt this will occur.
I will likely post the Second Prediction for Wednesday tomorrow morning. Have a good evening.
