Good evening everyone. Attached is the First Prediction for February 5, 2018.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 10 AM until 10 PM on Sunday. The National Weather Service expects 2 to 4 inches of snowfall to occur during this time period. Snow will be first to start throughout region then will gradually transition to mixed precipitation and rain by the evening hours. Elevated locations may remain all snow during the event.
My primary concern is temperatures will rapidly fall below freezing tomorrow night after roads become slushy, creating a potential flash-freeze repeat of last Thursday’s/Friday’s event. This is why I currently favor delays. However, there we will be more wind this time, which will help in drying the roads, hence the Regular Day risk. There is a lowclosing chance if the flash freeze is severe.
My plan is to release the Final Prediction tomorrow afternoon along with a Super Bowl Prediction. Have a great evening everyone and thank you for the support.
