Good evening everyone! It is time to discuss Tuesday morning’s snow event.

1 to 2 inches of snow, possibly up to 3 inches, is expected during the morning hours on Tuesday. At first glance, this appears to be an opportunity for delays to occur; however, 3 inches of snow in the past has been enough to cause closures, particularly when timed in during the morning bus runs. The other consideration is temperatures will be marginal for snow accumulations. In addition, if data trends toward drier solutions, Tuesday’s event may turn into a Regular Day versus Delay rather than a Delay versus Closing situation. Model guidance and forecasts should iron this out over the next 24 hours.

I anticipate on issuing the Second Prediction tomorrow morning, followed by the Final Prediction tomorrow night. My goal is to get the prediction to a two-scenario output, but this depends on how the forecast evolves.
