Overall, observations are matching ideas regarding tonight’s event. Temperatures near Mount Pocono are below freezing now and will continue to drop as the night progresses. The valley locations should go below freezing within the next few hours. Roads throughout the region appear to be wet with barely, if any, slush in the mountains. I do believe the freeze is going to outpace the rate at which the wind can dry the roads. Expect currently wet roads to ice over by the morning, regardless if the school districts delay or not.
A lot has to go right for flash-freeze delays to work out; therefore, I recommend planning your schedule as if a Regular Day will occur but have contingency plans if we delay. It is possible for delay calls to be made tonight, but I would lean more towards a morning decision. Have a good rest-of-the-day and stay safe if you are traveling this evening.
